Challenge: An older hospital had closed and left a population of residents without readily available medical services. The hospital board wanted to continue to provide healthcare to the community, but needed to investigate more cost effective alternatives than a full fledged emergency room.

Solution: ACA Medical Management Solutions (ACA) proposed that they change their older emergency room into an urgent care treatment center, and the hospital board agreed. ACA provided the operational oversight, financial services, and physician staffing to the hospital system to begin servicing the needs of the community residents. After more than a year of operation as an urgent care, management was transferred to the hospital board, and they continue to manage the facility today.
