Challenge: A major hospital system in central Ohio was interested in opportunities implementing urgent care services into their healthcare delivery package. However, they had no experience in the specific specialty to help evaluate the future success of such a facility.

Solution: ACA Medical Management Solutions (ACA) reviewed goals from the hospital system, including market demographics and financial concerns. After obtaining guidance, the development team conducted research, gathering information from multiple public and private sources to perform a market needs analysis. A presentation with findings and recommendations was given to the hospital senior management team. Although the population in the area was growing, it was suggested by ACA that the officials not to move forward with the project. The hospital senior management team agreed and postponed opening the facility.
