Case #1

Challenge: A small community was putting pressure on their neighboring city's hospital system to open an urgent care facility near their town. The hospital system was sensitive that something needed to be done, but was not sure how to facilitate an urgent care center.

Solution: ACA Medical Management Solutions (ACA) conducted a feasibility study, a site development plan, and financial forecasts for the proposed urgent care site and presented their findings to the hospital system. After approval, the development team implemented the full turnkey process:

 A facility was renovated, updated, and credentialed with both health boards and insurance payors.
 A site team of registration individuals and medical assistants were hired, oriented, trained, and certified on the appropriate systems.
 Various types of technology were implemented to increase operational efficiency.
 Market tracking and assistance was provided to the hospital's advertising team for better targeting and effectiveness.
 The Revenue Enhancement team facilitated the claims processing, submission, and accounts receivable follow up, producing timely status reports to the hospital's senior management.

Outcome: With the help from ACA, the facility exceeded gross revenue and operated on lower costs than originally projected.
