About ACA

Beginning their careers as emergency physicians, Nino DiIullo, MD, MBA and Lewis Wm. Coppel, Jr. MD, practiced in many emergency rooms throughout the United States as part of a nationwide management firm. After many years of delivering emergency medicine, they turned their sights to the ambulatory arena. In the 1980's they opened their first urgent care center, calling Columbus, Ohio home. Understanding that a successful practice requires knowledge of many other areas aside from medicine, they focused their attention on developing the back office support structure.

After years of success, the physicians partnered with a larger health system to open three more urgent care centers. In the early years, Ambulatory Care Affiliates (ACA) was established as that support structure for this Columbus-based chain of urgent care centers. The urgent care network continued to grew to a seven facility network, as did ACA's service offerings.

Today, ACA Medical Management Solutions still provides support to those seven original urgent care facilities, but has fueled expansion by taking on additional projects throughout the United States. Clients range from physician owned family practice offices to large hospital systems. Although ACA has transitioned from a small physician back office support area, to a systematic practice management firm, the core objective of the business is unwavering. ACA Medical Management Solution remains dedicated to partnering with various medical practices to deliver business solutions that enhance financial and operational structures throughout.
